Octasic offers a GSM-GPRS-EDGE Layer 1 Library in source code format that is compliant with 3GPP TS 51.021 and optimized for the OCT2224W Opus2 DSP cores. The programmability of the OCT224W allows system integrators to add in their proprietary algorithms. A single Opus2 core can process a complete carrier in EGPRS MCS-9 mode.


Demonstration System

Octasic offers a demonstration system built around its OCT2224W baseband system connected to an off the shelf GSM radio. Octasic has developed a small application framework that demonstrates GSM voice calls and interfaces with the GSM-EDGE Layer1 Modem.
