Mr. Laurence is a founding member of Octasic. Prior to Octasic, he was VP & GM of the Network Division of Natural MicroSystems (NMS) in Boston. He joined NMS as a result of its acquisition of InnoMediaLogic (IML) which he had founded in 1996 and led as CEO into a thriving multi-million dollar VoP solutions vendor. Prior to this Mr. Laurence held various technical management positions in the telecom industry in the US and Canada. He originally graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1973.
Mr. Ménard is a seasoned leader with more than 30 years of experience in operational management and building multidisciplinary, high-performance teams in both the military and civilian sectors. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Ménard honed his management expertise through his roles as Chief Operating Officer for Groupe Robert, as Senior Vice President, Operations, for GardaWorld, Dubai, and in various roles with the Canadian Armed Forces, including Chief Operating Officer and Commander, Joint Task Force, in Afghanistan.
Mr. Morrissey has over 20 years of experience in the definition and marketing of semiconductor devices. He strategically focuses on issues with regards to the technical evolution of future Octasic products. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Morrissey worked as Marketing Manager for ATM and DSL products for Agere (formerly Lucent Technologies). He holds a BSc from the Rochester Institute of Technology
Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Gambacorta served as Director of Business Development, New Network Access at NMS Communications and Director of Sales at InnoMedialogic. He draws upon his extensive experience in the telecommunications and electronics industries to guide Octasic's corporate strategy, sales, and business development initiatives. He holds a BSEE from the Polytechnique University of Montreal and a MBA from Cornell/Queens.
As part of the founding team at Octasic, Mr. Awad has played a key role in the design, development and go-to-market strategies for Octasic's products portfolio. Over the past 15 years, Mr. Awad has held various positions in engineering, pre-sales and product management and has spearheaded new product initiatives such as Octasic's video solutions.. He had a B.Eng degree from Concordia University in Montreal and an MBA from both Cornell-Queens.
Mr. Sanchez has over 15 years of experience in the wireless industry and a strong background in DSP and Wireless System Design. Before becoming Octasic's VP Wireless in 2015, he led the development of Octasic's Wireless solutions for 8 years as Director of R&D, Software Defined Radio. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Sanchez worked at ST Microelectronics as Wireless Development Manager and before that at Philips Semiconductors. He holds a BSc in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Mr. Trottier has over 20 years of experience in management positions in public and private companies in Canada and the United States. He has started with Octasic in 2019 at the head of the Operations/Production group. His technical expertise and his ability to put in place clear and effective processes, his ability to synthesis and the mobilization of multidisciplinary groups contribute to his quality of emeritus manager. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Trottier worked at D-Box Technologies, ONI System Corp., and Technologies Miranda. He holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering and a master's degree in business administration (MBA).
Mr. Singh has 20 years of experience working with companies in the semiconductor, telecommunications and services industries. Within these organizations, Mr. Singh contributed on various projects as an embedded software expert focused on areas such as Wireless and consumer electronics. Mr. Singh joined Octasic in 2008 as a part of the Software Radio group and then became the Director of Octasic’ s R&D center at Bengaluru, India, in 2012. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Singh worked at NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics and Wipro Technologies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Mr. Peres has more than 25 years of experience in the semiconductor communications sector; public and private, as well as in the field of wireless software. His experience is also distinguished by the different levels of management he has held, his proven vision of technical marketing, product management, business development and mergers/acquisitions. He served in key development and strategic roles at Microsemi Corporation, Mitel and Zarlink Semiconductor. Mr. Peres joined Octasic through the acquisition of FxLynx Technologies in Europe which he co-founded in 2014. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering and holds five patents in the areas of data networks and telecommunications.
Julie D. Rivard has several years of experience in Human Resources, having held several positions in retail, engineering, architecture and marketing sectors. She has demonstrated a great ability to adapt, a relational effectiveness with all employment groups, leadership, while being results-oriented and on the optimization of available resources. With a Master’s degree in Urban Studies (M.Sc) ESG UQAM, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Sacramento, California and a Graduate Degree in Management (DESS) at HEC. She is a member of the “Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agrées” (CRHA).
