Mr. Laurence is a founding member of Octasic. Prior to Octasic, he was VP & GM of the Network Division of Natural MicroSystems (NMS) in Boston. He joined NMS as a result of its acquisition of InnoMediaLogic (IML) which he had founded in 1996 and led as CEO into a thriving multi-million dollar VoP solutions vendor. Prior to this Mr. Laurence held various technical management positions in the telecom industry in the US and Canada. He originally graduated from the Royal Military College of Canada in 1973.
Mr. Leblanc has more than 25 years of experience in the telecom industry. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Leblanc was Vice President and General Manager of Ultra Electronics TCS. During his 16 years with Ultra Electronics, Mr. Leblanc held several senior management positions in Engineering, Product Management, Operations, Sales and Marketing and lead his team to become a worldwide leader of tactical communications solutions. Mr. Leblanc started his career as a Design Engineer of Wireless products at Nortel Networks. He holds a B.Eng. in Engineering, Telecommunication at École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Mr. Singh has 20 years of experience working with companies in the semiconductor, telecommunications and services industries. Within these organizations, Mr. Singh contributed on various projects as an embedded software expert focused on areas such as Wireless and consumer electronics. Mr. Singh joined Octasic in 2008 as a part of the Software Radio group and then became the Director of Octasic’ s R&D center at Bengaluru, India, in 2012. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Singh worked at NXP Semiconductors, STMicroelectronics and Wipro Technologies. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communication Engineering.
Mr. Sanchez has over 20 years of experience in the wireless industry and a strong background in DSP and Wireless System Design. He joined Octasic in 2008 as Director of R&D, Software Defined Radio and led development of Octasic's Wireless solutions before becoming VP of Wireless in 2015. He was named Octasic's Chief Technical Officer in 2019. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Sanchez worked at ST Microelectronics as Wireless Development Manager and before that at Philips Semiconductors. He holds a BSc in Telecommunications from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
Mr. Simon has more than 20 years of experience in corporate finance in the telecommunications, technology, media, retail, and industrial sectors. He has solid experience managing major projects and multidisciplinary teams. Before joining Octasic, Mr. Simon worked as CFO / VP Finance for Frank And Oak and Fibrenoire. He holds a B.Sc. in Economics from Université de Sherbooke and an M.Sc. in Business Administration from HEC Montreal.
As part of the founding team at Octasic, Mr. Awad has played a key role in the design, development and go-to-market strategies for Octasic's products portfolio. Over the past 20 years, Mr. Awad has held various positions in Engineering, Pre-sales and Product Management and has spearheaded new product initiatives such as Octasic's video solutions. He has a B.Eng degree from Concordia University in Montreal and an MBA from both Cornell-Queens.
Mr. Levesque has 20 years of experience in hardware and semiconductor domains. Since he joined Octasic in 2008, Mr. Levesque managed multidisciplinary teams and complex projects, including development of System-on-Chips, from definition to mass production. Prior to joining Octasic, Mr. Levesque lead hardware and programmable logic design projects for the video broadcast industry. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering from Laval University, Quebec.
Mr. LeBlanc has 20 years of experience in engineering and operations. Prior to joining Octasic, M. LeBlanc notably worked for Casco Products where he was involved in several projects across different countries and led the setup of a manufacturing facility of optical sensors in China. He also worked at ITF technologies where he completely redefined the manufacturing process, thus allowing the company to become a worldwide market leader in the supply of FBG based pump lockers for telecom applications. He holds a B. Eng from École Polytechnique de Montréal.
Julie D. Rivard has several years of experience in Human Resources, having held several positions in retail, engineering, architecture and marketing sectors. She has demonstrated a great ability to adapt, a relational effectiveness with all employment groups, leadership, while being results-oriented and on the optimization of available resources. With a Master’s degree in Urban Studies (M.Sc) ESG UQAM, she pursued graduate studies at the University of Sacramento, California and a Graduate Degree in Management (DESS) at HEC. She is a member of the “Ordre des conseillers en ressources humaines agrées” (CRHA).
